St Paul’s Church,
Peterborough

It was a beautiful morning and about 35 or so of us met in the Church Hall, palm crosses given to everyone and some had the big palm leaves. Rev Ron blessed the palms and sprinkled us all with water before we sang one verse of All Glory Laud and Honour and then processed out of the Hall front door, turned left on Lincoln Rd and followed Brian as Thurifer (swinging the incense) and Trevor carrying the Cross.

We walked down to the corner of the triangle and then back up the Bourges Boulevard side to return through the church big gates and into the Church. It was a wonderful witness in the community and would have made those going by in their cars think what we were doing and they were a few pedestrians around as well.

During the service Tom and Brian were called up so that we could pray and commission them for their roles as Churchwardens.
