Tower and Bell Dedication Service
The bell was rung for the first time in over 40 years by church member Ann Doherty, whose ticket was pulled out at random by Gwen and Harry Hurst.
Ann was amazed to have the winning ticket and her face was a picture of surprise.
It was a wonderful afternoon, warm weather, relaxed atmosphere, lovely music and singing by the String of Pearls choir, surprise presentation to Dorothy, who had been the PCC Secretary for several years and then, due to ill health, resigned last Spring.
The church looked great, with lovely flower arrangements, new carpet in the Lady Chapel, gleaming woodwork and silver.
